Everyone is invited to the Mainsail Art Festival at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The 49th Annual Mainsail Art Festival will be held in St. Petersburg’s waterfront Vinoy Park on April 20 and 21, 2024. Mainsail Art Festival is one of the premier cultural events on St. Petersburg’s outdoor calendar. Each year, more than 100,000 visitors attend the festival to enjoy and purchase quality art and to listen to live musical entertainment. The Mainsail committee of hard-working volunteers produces this annual fine arts festival exhibiting artists competing for $60,000 in prize money.

Free admittance to the festival

For the safety of your pet and other festival patrons, please consider allowing your dog to stay at home during the festival. However, service animals are welcome.

No, the festival does not permit coolers to be brought into the park.

Yes, there will be a variety of food items and beverages for purchase. This event is cashless for beverages and/or promotional merchandise.

between Central Avenue & First Avenue South (under the pedestrian bridge connecting the Office Tower and the Parking Garage). Same location as the Baseball Shuttle Stop. Motorists may park in the garage by entering from 1st Avenue South between 1st and 2nd Streets

  • Vinoy Park

North side of 7th Ave NE just west of Bayshore Drive

Entertainment

The Mainsail Art Festival has always presented a wide range of the performing arts for visitors entertainment.

With an eclectic mix of Mime, Strolling Minstrels, Steel Drums and Bands on the stage, there is plenty to see and enjoy. For your strolling entertainment, Deanna, the Mime. Never know what this zany character will do!

Chairs are provided under tents for overhead shade in front of the Performing Arts stage. You are welcome to bring your own chairs and/or blankets to view performances if you wish.

12:00-1:15pm Bad Habits
The musicians in Bad Habit all had long musical careers before they had the opportunity to play together bringing a unique musical style jumping genres and mixing up a lifetime of influences.
1:30-2:45pm Push Button Rocket
Drawing on experience gleaned from time served in some of Tampa Bay’s most legendary music acts, PBR members hail from Secret Service, Greg Billings Band, Sugarspoon, The Warren Brothers and Johnny G Lyon lineage. A truly professional and polished act.
3:00-4:15pm Doug South Band
A virtuoso guitarist, singer and songwriter with classic influences and a sunburned surf backbeat, what results is a mesh of top level musicianship, strong originals and interesting covers merging rock, indie, surf, Americana, Blues, jazz and jam.
4:30-6:00pm Memphis Lightning
Sweettone recording artist and international touring act Memphis Lightning is a force to be reckoned with. Built from world class and award winning artists.

A garage band for indiscriminate grownups, playing music that won’t stick to your clothes.

JT Curtis is an accomplished singer/songwriter, entertainer and Nashville recording artist.
