Performing Arts Schedule 2017
Saturday, April 22nd
12:00 Jah Movement Reggae Band
Hear the glorifying sounds of Winners of Creative Loafing’s 2016 ‘Best Local Reggae Band.’ You never know what popular songs they will pull out the box at each show!
You have to see Shevonne, (call her Shevizzle,) and listen to the funky Bohemian style of her original music. Think incredible and vast imagination.
3:00 Mad Dogs – The Joe Cocker Experience
It's all there. The soulful blues voice of Joe Cocker gives this tribute band the rhythms and grooves they project.
These winners of the 2016 Suncoast Blues Challenge are equally at home with soul, funk, gospel and a taste of jazz. A lot of energy is going on here!
Sunday, April 23
11:30 Awesome Original Second Time Arounders Marching Band
Marching is what they do, and will do it for you. The largest permanent adult marching band in the world will march on stage with rousing marching music, just like half time.
1:00 Flow Sisters
An incredible eclectic mélange of musicians who have come together to create a melting pot of funk, soul, R’n’B and psychedelic fusion. Harmonies that enlighten your mind and heal your soul.
2:15 Mitch Lind & The Lagerheads
Home grown, salty and rough, this gang pulls to the left of the bluegrass center. Original tunes with a splash of traditional, it’s a mixture of fun, stories and great instrumentals. (Keep a safe distance from the band, though – they’ll steal your food.)
3:45 Damon Fowler
An expressive songwriter, singer and instrumentalist, preaching an otherworldly, Americana-themed gospel from a six-stringed pulpit. He is a roots guitar guru in the making.
