2023 Young Masters Award Winners

Look for the colorful pink banners to find the Young at ARt Student Exhibition, featuring the best artwork from students throughout Pinellas County.

Founded by Gregory H. Fisher, a local attorney and long-time member of the Mainsail Board of Directors, student artwork is juried from hundreds of pieces of artwork submitted by teachers from public and private schools. Certificates of Merit are presented to all student participants and a total of 24 outstanding entries are recognized for outstanding artwork for grades K-12.

Ribbons for 12 Awards of Excellence and 12 Honorable Mentions will be announced during the Mainsail Festival at the main stage, located in the south end of Vinoy Park (near the Truth Sculpture), on Saturday at 11 am.

Scholarships sponsored by the Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts, the Mahaffey Apartment Company and Raymond James, are presented as the Young Masters Awards, in conjunction with the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, a national competition started in 1923 for high school students. Five 12th grade students in the Pinellas County school system have been awarded a $1,000 cash scholarship, to be used to further their art education. A Gold Key Portfolio of some of their outstanding work will be exhibited at Mainsail’s Young at ARt tent.
