The 43rd Annual Mainsail Art Festival will take place on April 21-22, 2018 in Vinoy Park, St. Petersburg, Florida

Everyone is invited to the Mainsail Art Festival at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg, Florida.

As a premier cultural event on St. Petersburg's outdoor calendar, over 100,000 visitors from near and far come to enjoy and purchase quality art and enjoy top name entertainment. The Mainsail committee of hard-working volunteers produces this annual fine arts festival exhibiting artists competing for $60,000 in prize money.

2018 Show Judge: Holly Koons

Holly Koons is the executive director of the Arlington Arts Center, where she oversees the administration, development, and creative strategy of this non-profit organization dedicated to contemporary visual arts. Prior to assuming her current position in 2016, she amassed twenty years of experience in non-profit visual arts curation and management. From 1996 - 2011, Koons worked at the Telfair Museums in Savannah, Georgia, where she served as the Director of Collections and Exhibitions, overseeing a permanent collection of over 5,000 objects and an ambitious schedule of twelve to fourteen annual exhibitions. Pi votal accomplishments included the publication of the museum's first collection catalogue and the organization of its first internationally-traveling exhibition, Dutch Utopia. After relocating to northern Virginia in 2011, Koons served as the part-time curator at the Greater Reston Arts Center, eventually assuming the dual position of director/curator. In this capacity, she organized numerous exhibitions of contemporary art and brought nationally-recognized artists to the Center, including Patrick Dougherty, Renee Stout, Radcliffe Bailey, and Joyce J. Scott.

Born in the Distri ct of Columbia but raised in the Atlanta, Georgia area, Koons holds a BA in art history and English from the University of Georgia, and a MA in art history from the University of Notre Dame. She and her two children currently reside in Oakton in Fairfax County, Virginia.

No, the festival does not permit coolers to be brought into the park.
Yes, there will be a variety of food items and beverages for purchase.
